Martially-marked Starr DA model 1858 percussion Army revolver, .44 cal., 6” round barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood grips, #20633 in overall very good to near fine condition showing considerable original bright blue finish on frameand barrel with strong appearance of original case colors on rammer and hammer; cylinder is numbered 21813 and 4003 but condition-wise is consistent with having grown up with this gun in our opinion. The action is crisp, markings sharp, bore is very good + and the grips are near fine with clear inspector cartouches on both sides; inspector initials also prominent on various parts of gun; per Flayderman’s, total production approx. 23,000 between late 1850’s/early 1860’s with most bearing Government inspector markings. (Antique). Est.: $1,250-$2,500.
