This Navy Model percussion revolver has a serial number that falls into the Second Model, 4th Type (15000-25000). The top barrel flat is marked "E. WHITNEY / N. HAVEN" and the left side of the frame has the inspector initials "F.C.W.". The cylinder is numbered to the gun and is without the eagle, lion, naval engagement and shield scene. Brass trigger guard, Colt style loading lever latch, pin front sight, top strap grooved rear sight and fitted with smooth grips. The number "4" is stamped on the frame under the right grip panel. The left grip panel has a cartouche and is numbered to the gun. The right grip panel is also numbered to the gun.

Condition: Fine. The revolver retains 70% nickel finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The loading lever has been cleaned, retaining some traces of original case colors and has some minor pitting. The grips are fine with some minor dings and scratches and worn bottom edges, along with a dent on the bottom of the right grip panel. The cartouche is weak, but legible. Mechanically fine.
