Known as Martha Washington, shown and described on pages 26-27 of Whitmyer - Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years. The finial is comprised of three figures - a colonial lady flanked by a boy and a girl. The jar is embossed with garlands of roses. Produced by the New Martinsville Glass Co., during the years 1937-1944, in pink satin or frosted Depression glass. Measuring about 7 inches tall x 5 1/2 inches long x 4 inches wide, and with the exception of a couple of tiny nicks to the rim of the base, this jar and lid are in excellent condition.
