This Check signed by an American Adventurer, Gold Hunter, and some times wealthy man, Marshall Bond, was issued by the John S. Cook & Co., Bk., August 31, 1905, it was from the Saint Ives Gold Mining and Milling Co., he has signed it as the Vice-President. Bond was born in 1867, died in 1941. He drove cattle in Texas, went to Alaska to hunt for Gold, where he became a friend of Jack London, who base his famous novel The Call of The Wild on Bond's Dog, in 1902 he traveled to Mexico City with a relative of Teddy Roosevelt, and then for a year he lived & worked in Goldfield Nevada.
