This is a Marotta accordion from Red Lodge, Montana. The accordion belonged to Vera Buening, known as "Montana Vera". She was a local celebrity in Red Lodge who was best known for singing and dancing while playing her accordion in parades and celebrations. Included are several pictures of Vera Buening and her accordion. The accordion itself shows good overall condition. There is some chipping to five of the keys. The case measures 15.75" x 15.75" x 8.25".
