Wonderful vintage ballpoint signature and inscription, "—Mister Eisenstaedt, If 'there is no art to find the mind's construction in the face,' you have, perhaps, have helped importantly to give it life. Sincere regards, Marlon Brando, London, February 1966,” on an off-white 6.25 x 8.75 autograph album page. In fine condition. Life magazine photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt photographed Brando while he was in London filming Charlie Chaplin's 1966 romantic comedy A Countess from Hong Kong. Quoting King Duncan from Act I, scene IV of Shakespeare's tragedy Macbeth, Brando parallels the guise of acting and photography with one brilliant inscription.
