Marlin model 1895, large frame, lever-action rifle, .38-56 caliber, 26” octagon barrel, full magazine, crescent butt, serial #135465. The rifle remains in good to very good condition showing 50-70% evenly thinning andtoning blue finish, some light erosion and pinprick pitting just starting on the barrel and magazine tube. The edges are sharp, the markings are crisp, the frame shows traces of case hardening drifting to patina. Thestocks are good with 30-50% varnish, some dings, mars, scratches, normal aging and use. The tang has been drilled and tapped for tang sight which is missing. The rear sight is original, the front sight is a replacement in the original dovetail. The action is good, the bore is fair to good and may clean. Est: $750 - $1,000
