Marlin model 1893 lever action rifle, .38-55 caliber, 26” half round half octagon barrel, takedown frame, half magazine, factory engraved, fancy checkered deluxe pistol grip stocks, blued finish with gold screws, crescent butt. Serial number 198053, with all features as confirmed by factory letter. The rifle retains approx. 75% evenly thinning and toning blue finish, with some bright areas near the takedown collar and muzzle but generally very good overall with just some light erosion, pinprick pitting, and minor aging. The stocks are very good plus, showing a nice burl wood grain, approx. 80-90% original varnish, some minor mars, scratches, dings, but generally very good overall. The lever and hammer show 50-70% case hardening, which is drifting, with some rainbow colors still showing. The left side of the barrel shows the special smokeless steel marking. The rifle is fitted with a buck horn rear sight in its original dove tail and a large blade front sight in the original front dove tail.
