Marlin lever action rifle, last patent date 1893 in .44-40 cal., 24” round barrel, full magazine, crescent butt, #80982, approx. 75%-85% original period nickel finish with some slight pitting and natural aging; barrel address and edges are sharp; wood is good; action is good; bore is fair to good with strong rifling; no factory letter available to confirm full nickel but definitely period and possibly factory original.
