Marlin Model 39 lever action rifle in .22 caliber, serial number 12911. The rifle shows 24” octagon barrel with standard magazine and hard rubber butt plate. The stocks are select grade checkered walnut with a verynice grain. The barrel and magazine tube show 75% to 85% original thinning blue finish with a good sharp barrel address. The frame, hammer and lever show traces of original case hardening drifting to a natural patina.There is some very colorful case hardening where protected. The stocks are at least very good plus with excellent wood to metal fit and just minor loss of finish where handled. The checkering is very sharp. The action isgood and the bore is very good. The rifle is crisp overall. Est.: $900-$1,800.
