Antique lever action repeating rifle chambered in .38-40 Winchester, manufactured circa 1895. Features a blued finish, 22 3/4" octagonal barrel, full-length magazine tube, dovetailed bead top blade front sight with provision for a set screw, simplistic 'v' notched rear sight fashioned from a sporting sight leaf, engraved bull moose on the left side of the receiver, smooth trigger, knurled hammer spur, smooth walnut forend and straight grip shoulder stock from a Winchester with crescent metal buttplate. Rifle exhibits remnants of an old blued refinish with the majority of the metal surfaces grey with a browning patina. Action is sound, the bore has dulled & shows scattered pitting, screw heads are wallowed, markings are very good and the wood stocks are good with a chip on the right side of the forend & the buttstock is ill-fitting to the tangs as it is not OEM.
