Marlin Model 1893 Saddle Ring Lever Action Carbine
Features a fixed front blade sight and a fold-down adjustable rear sight. The top of the barrel is marked "Marlin Firearms Co, NEW - HAVEN, CT. U.S.A. / PAT'D OCT. 11, 1887. APRIL. 2, 1889. AUG. 1, 1893." and the left side of the barrel is marked "SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL". Casehardened lever and receiver. The top of the receiver is marked "MARLIN SAFETY". Saddle ring on left side of the receiver. Plain forearm and straight grip stock with a steel carbine style buttplate.

Fine. The barrel retains 80% of the faded blue finish with some thinning and spotting overall. The receiver has 30% case colors with the balance having aged to a smooth gray/brown patina with strong case colors in the protected areas. The stock has been freshened and shows some flaking and covered over gouges and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
