Marlin Model 1881 lever action rifle, 38-55 cal., 28” octagon barrel, professionally restored by noted artisans Doug Turnbull, Gary Ladd and H&S Gunsmith Service, #15134. Accompanying this beautiful antique rifle is a letter dated October 9, 2002 indicating custom English Walnut stock and metal work done by Gary Ladd, case color on lever, hammer, trigger and fore end cap by Doug Turnbull and barrel lined by H&S Gunsmith Service; graining flame in the butt stock is particularly spectacular!
