'Off-Hand' Early American made single shot rifle chambered in .32-40 Winchester, circa 1882-1884. Features a blued 28" #3 Winchester barrel, dovetailed blade front sight, blank inserted into rear sight dovetail, adjustable tang sight, installed scope blocks, double triggers, looped lever, checkered hammer spur, case hardened frame, checkered walnut forend and Schuetzen style shoulder stock and fancy aluminum buttplate. Barrel is marked "MADE TO THE ORDER BY THE/WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO, NEW HAVEN.CONN.U.S.A." and exhibits approximately 35% of it's original finish with an overall dark patina and scattered pin prick pitting. The receiver shows only traces of it's case hardened finish with a light reflective patina on the left side and a dull dark grey patina on the right. Action is smooth, bore is excellent and wood stocks are good to very good as the shoulder stock has a 2.5" crack extending from the wrist towards the butt. Condition is good+. ***Antique Firearm***
