Marlin Ballard No. 2 Sporting Rifle, .32 rimfire caliber, 26” medium weight octagon barrel, blue and case hardened finish, standard wood stocks, veneer type tang sight, standard buck-horn type rear sight in proper dovetail with period hooded front sight in front dovetail. Serial #6102. Refer Flayderman 5D-095. The barrel retains 80-90% evenly thinning and toning blue finish with some scattered light erosion and pinprickpitting, some lightening and slight wear at the edges. The blue is still shiny, just showing some normal age. The frame and lever show 30-40% case hardening drifting to silver with some light colors still showing. Thebuttplate shows traces of color within patina. The markings on the left side of the frame are good and sharp, the stocks are very good plus with many small scratches, dings, mars, approx. 75% original varnish. Theaction is tight, the bore is near excellent. Still in its original rimfire configuration with no modern alterations. Est: $750 - $1,500
