Marlene Dietrich personally owned desktop timepiece from her New York apartment. Canister style clock by Kienzle Clock Company, Schwenningen, Germany dates to around the 1960's. Large white dial features raised gilt baton hour chapter and gilt Dauphine style hands under a thick beveled glass crystal. Case is made of brass and features a large key on the back that rotates the entire spring drum with each turn. Measures 4.75'' x 3'' x 2''. Weighs 15 ounces. Evidence of former gilt finish is present in places but has nearly completely worn off, else near fine. From the estate of Marlene Dietrich.
