Pair of stage-used Marky Ramone Vic Firth drumsticks, 16.25? in length, both signed in red felt tip, “Lollapalooza ‘96, 7–10, Marky Ramone.” In overall fine condition, with expected wear from use. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Ramones assistant tour manager, Warren Cohen, in part: “During the 1996 Lollapolooza [sic] tour, The Ramones Final Tour...I decided to get a pair of stage used drumsticks from each of the 22 shows...and have Marky sign and date each of them...he would sign a pair each night for me...these sticks are from July 10, 1996, show #9, the first of two shows on Randall’s Island in New York City.” Over the course of the summer of 1996’s 22-show Lollapalooza tour, The Ramones shared the main stage with acts like Cheap Trick, Soundgarden, Waylon Jennings, Rancid, Rage Against the Machine, and Metallica. Lollapalooza is especially notable as The Ramones final tour. The influential punk rocker’s made their final performance on August 6, 1996—a mere two months after these sticks were used and signed—which served as the basis for their live We’re Out of Here album. The Warren Cohen Collection.
