Mark Erickson

Mark Erickson was born in Hollywood, California. He studied painting at the San Francisco Art Institute and has taken part in exhibitions all over the US since the 1970s. Erickson’s works are characterised by an abstract formal language and bold colours showing influences by Henri Matisse and Willem DeKooning. Today Erickson lives and works in Oakland in the San Francisco Bay Area.
