In part: “I have been under the weather, with minor surgery, which required my confinement to bed for a week, and then confined to the house. I thought it would do me some good to get away for a little vacation, as I persuaded the doctor to let me join Mrs. Clark up in Muncie, Indiana. I thoroughly enjoyed the chance to have some nice visits with old friends, and now I’m back trying to catch up on the mail that has piled high during my absence, so you can see, your card is quite appropriate.” In fine condition, with light wrinkling. Accompanied by original mailing envelope.
