Two items: an uncommon William Morris Agency check, made payable to Mario Puzo for $180, October 13, 1959, endorsed on the reverse in ballpoint, "Mario Puzo"; and a TLS signed "Mario," one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, February 7, 1967, to Helen Strauss at the William Morris Agency, in part: "Got a call today from a guy named Irwin Friedman…He has been negotiating with Jim Street for movie rights to adventure magazine story of mine called 'The 100 Million Dollar Snatch' about American soldiers stealing German National Treasury in 1945….I told Irwin Friedman I'd tell you about this and gave him your name. Do what you think best." In fine condition.
