Wonderful brass compass (at least my magnet does not stick to it)#14010 but no maker name. It came off of the same marine ship with the A. Lietz deviation finder in other auctions. Around 1900 era; the compass rocks freely but the compass card is hard to read from age, liquid is still intact. I believe this compass is in excellent original shape and would add to any nautical theme or compass collection but I am selling this compass in as found condition. Beautiful original wood box that latches, one side does not have the original eye but the latches are original on this great tongue and groove box with lid. The lid has 2 cracks and the start of a 3rd. Patina is wonderful and rich on this walnut? box
