<td width="100%">
Wonderful brass compass (at least my magnet does not stick to it)#14010 but no maker name. It came off of the same marine ship with the sextant by Heath and the A. Lietz deviation finder in other auctions. Around 1900 The compass rocks freely, the compass card is hard to read from age, liquid is still intact. This is in excellent original shape and would add to any nautical theme or compass collection. Beautiful original wood box that latches, one side does not have the original eye but the latches are original on this great tongue and groove box with lid. The lid has 2 cracks and the start of a 3rd. Patina is wonderful and rich on this walnut? box
