Marilyn Monroe 10'' x 8'' photograph signed ''Love and Kisses / Marilyn Monroe'', taken 16 February 1954, after she performed for the 7th Infantry Division in Korea. Monroe and Joe DiMaggio were newlyweds on a trip to Japan, when the bride took a detour to Korea to entertain the troops. She performed ten shows in four days, 16-19 February 1954, in front of audiences that totaled more than 100,000 soldiers. Identified on verso, in ink, by Corporal Joseph Fishman: ''L. to R. me! Marilyn Monroe. My Photo Officer Lt. Belche. Vic Congeloso & Julio Andajar. we were shooting Picture of her at the Generals Mess after a USO Show she put on for the troops Feb, 1954 -- over my Right Shoulder is Lefty O'Douls wife. of the N.Y. Yankees.'' Also includes a 8'' x 10'' copy of a photograph depicting Marilyn Monroe and Corporal Fishman, with camera in hand, which Fishman identified on verso as ''that's me working! Korea Feb 1954''. Photocopies of six 3.75'' x 5'' photographs also taken on 16 February 1954 are present, four of Marilyn Monroe alone (two performing in her purple cocktail gown), one with General Lionel Charles McGarr, and one with General McGarr and Mrs. Lefty O'Doul. In two of the photographs, Marilyn is wearing a special Army jacket with numerous patches, including one imprinted ''MONROE.'' Lot lastly includes an 8.5'' x 11'' reproduction of page 3 of the 18 February 1954 edition of the ''Los Angeles Times.'' In the upper right is a 2.5'' x 3.25'' photograph captioned ''Anything Goes''. Curvaceous Marilyn Monroe, wearing her famous purple cocktail gown, entertains 7th Division troops in Korea in show ''Anything Goes.'' Signed photo in near fine condition.
