Rare first issue of ''Playboy'' magazine, December 1953, Volume I, Number I. Landmark issue of Hugh Hefner's pioneering and controversial men's magazine, featuring the famous color centerfold of Playboy's first ''Sweetheart of the Month,'' Marilyn Monroe, with ''First Time in any magazine / Full Color / the famous Marilyn Monroe Nude'' printed on the cover. Magazine, measuring 8.5'' x 11'', has tape on centerfold and binding, as staples have been removed. Minor soiling to covers and interior pages. Overall in very good condition.
