This painting by the German artist Marianne Hopf depicts an abstract representation. Like in many of Hopf’s works, also here figurativeness and abstraction melt and build an aesthetically pleasing composition. On black background emerges an orange field in the centre, which is energetically spreading over to the sides of the image and merging there into further forms.
The painting is signed lower left ‘M. Hopf 87’ and verso inscribed ‘Marianne Hopf’, and dated ‘´87’. It is in good condition with minimal traces of wear and age. The paint surface shows some minimal fissures. The dimensions of the stretcher frame are 100 x 150 cm.
