Hardcover with dustjacket, 6 x 9, 428 pages. Signed and inscribed on the first free end page, “For Edeilo Green–because she has seen something of the Sioux country in Old Jules, Sincerely, Mari Sandoz,” adding a small landscape sketch under her signature. In very good condition, with uniform toning and pencil notation to signed page, with a heavier strip of toning along left edge, moderate toning to pastedowns, and foxing, soiling, and areas of damp staining to boards and spine (moderate staining to spine). Dustjacket shows scattered wear and toning.
