14 1/2" by 20 1/2" in matte. Marguerite G. 'Marge' Dodge (July 22, 1918 - December 3, 2003) Montana. Pottery, Watercolor, Western Art and Illustration. An artist all her life, she attended the Layton School of Art in Milwaukee, earned a B.A. from the Atlanta College of Art in Georgia and, in Missoula, received a B.A. and M.A. in art from the University of Montana. She was talented in painting oil, encaustic, watercolor, drawing and printmaking. Other interests included photography, pottery, crafts and decoration. She moved to Missoula in 1953. Quickly taking up residence in the University of Montana Art Program. She worked with Rudy Autio and Peter Volkous in the Ceramics department. In the Montana Institute of the Arts she was the fine arts chairman, 1964-65, and the Missoula branch manager, 1973-75.
