Polish soprano (1858–1935) who enjoyed a lengthy career at the New York Metropolitan Opera. Original 4.25 x 5.5 cabinet photo of Sembrich holding a fan, by A. Dupont, signed at the bottom of the image in black ink, “Marcella Sembrich, Boston, March 1902.” In very good condition, with trimmed bottom edge, scattered spotting and rubbing to image, as well as a bit of light soiling.
