Original ink self-portrait sketch on an off-white 7.25 x 10.5 sheet, signed and inscribed at the top, “To Betty, with love from Marcel Marceau 82,” adding a small flower sketch as well. Accompanied by an ALS, signed “Marcel,” two pages, 7.5 x 10.5, Sherry-Netherland Hotel letterhead. Marceau writes to his friend Charles. In part: “I had to go at an university at 10 AM. It had been arranged by Paramount after you called. I shall call you back.” In fine condition, with intersecting folds and some mild toning to letter. A wonderful sketch, truly capturing the essence of the mime who drew it!
