ALS, three pages both sides, 8.25 x 10.5, Compagnie de Mime Marcel Marceau letterhead, December 25, 1970. Marceau sends news and greetings to artist Charles Lassiter, adding small sketches of a flower and a smiling sun. In part: “I hope your exhibitions are doing extremely well. You are a great artist. I love your work. Maybe we can meet in Paris one of these days. I am directing and play the leading part of Candide, at the opera of Hambourg, the premiere is scheduled for the 22nd of January…. But meanwhile my theatrical tours are going on, which keeps me very busy…. Happy Christmas and lots of success.” In very good condition, with folds (a few tiny separations), a few chips, and scattered soiling and bends.
