(Six Flags, 1984) A very rare piece of concept art for the Six Flags Power Plant in Baltimore Maryland, by Disney Legend Marc Davis. Conceived as a combination entertainment, dining, and shopping area, Six Flags wanted to diversify away from simply "ride parks" into Urban Entertainment Centers. One of their key directives was that the project must not include any rides - which the many former Disney Imagineers employed on the project advised against. In the end, the Power Plant opened in 1985 and closed in 1986 due mainly to poor attendance. This piece is one of many characters Disney Legend Marc Davis designed for the Power Plant. Fifi the Robot French Maid was likely never realized, although there was a section that displayed inventions for Future Living. Measuring 12"x14.5" mounted to 16"x19" board, the original art is in fine condition.
