SWIRL, Solid Core. Lobed Solid Core Swirl. Three deep lobes. Outer layer is a cage of yellow strands. Polished surface. Germany, circa 1860-1920. 25/32", Polished. This item was recovered from the Marble Wreck site described on Page 105 of Wreck Valley III by Capt. Dan Berg. The site is identified as the shipwreck of an 1870s schooner inbound from Germany. The marble surface has been polished to remove the devitrification caused by almost 150 years exposure to sea water. Accompanied by a COA from Land of Marbles.
