END OF DAY, Onionskin. An extremely rare marble. Lobed four-panel onionskin with floating mica panels. The core is opaque white with two blue panels and two pink panels. Four deep lobes in the core. The subsurface layer is four mica panels floating above the lobe troughs. Stunning marble, you rarely find these. This marble was recovered from an East Coast shipwreck and then polished. Germany, circa 1870-1920. 1-13/16". Polished. Accompanied by a COA from Land of Marbles, the original purchaser from the salvager.
