Cogently written and highly detailed, c.1850-1855, this substantial grouping of manuscripts includes the following: <BR>Manuscript account composed in ink on blue lettersheets of Page, Bacon, & Co. of San Francisco,14 x 8½ in., 4 pp. A closely written and highly detailed account of the island of Oahu and its geography - specifically Nuuanu Valley, Punchbowl, Waikiki and Diamond Head. Slight foxing. Manuscript account composed in pencil on the reverse side of blank check sheets for the Banking House of Page & Bacon of St. Louis, 10 x 8 in., 10 pp. Describes Hawaiian religious practices, and the influence of missionaries. Light stain on one sheet corner and one corner missing, not affecting writing. Manuscript account composed in ink describing the great d iving skills of the natives and their custom of fighting sharks, 9¾x 7¾in., 3 pp. Also<BR>2 pre-printed envelopes on blue paper addressed Messrs.
