<B>Emancipation of Reuben Warner.</B></I> Cincinnati, Ohio: 1843. Document in manuscript on vellum (13.5 x 11 inches). Written in brown ink with two official seals attached. Some foxing and creases from folds, one horizontal and three vertical, document quite sound and legible. Docketed on reverse: "<I>Reuben Warner's Certificate of Freedom</B></I>." Complete transcription of document: "<I>Know all me by these presents, that I, George Reeves, of the City of Cincinnati in the State of Ohio, having by the decease of my father, Austin L. Reeves, late of Mason </B></I>[?]<I> County, in the State of Kentucky, come into the possession of a Negro slave named Reuben Warner, for valuable consideration, have manumitted, and by these presents do manumit and set free from the bonds of slavery forever, the said Reuben Warner, hereby declaring, that he is now to all intents and purposes free, and entitled to all the privileges of free persons of color. Said Reuben Warner is about thirty three years of age, five feet and seven inches high, and of a dark, though not black complexion. In witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this third day of March, 1843.</B></I> [signed] <I>George Reeves. In the presence of [signed] Samuel W.
