BBL: 24 1/4 inch solid rib
Stock: walnut
Gauge: 8
Finish: blue/casehardened
Grips:
Serial Number: 6818
Condition: Fine as period refinished, the barrels, lever and trigger guard, with almost all of the aforementioned blue finish remaining. There is some scattered oxidation on the bottom of the barrels. The frame, locks and hammers show much of the original bright case colors with a smooth gray patina on the balance. The wood is good with several moderate dings on the forearm and what appears to be some moisture damage on the wrist, where it appears that the wood has deteriorated a bit. The remainder of the stock remains very good with a few minor dings and handling marks. The initial oval is raised a bit from the stock, but secure. The remaining checkering remains crisp. Markings and engraving are clear. The action is excellent. The case is fair with scuffs and scratches on the exterior, the straps and one of the strap loops are absent, and the worn lining shows some heavier wear in places, some tears and pieces missing and nail repaired compartment walls.
