Mannlicher M95 Straight Pull Bulgarian Military Rifle 8 x 56R

That is an M95 pattern rifle. It is Bulgarian issue, clearly indicated by the crest.
First contract, Budapest 1909 manufacture; designated M.03.
It has been upgraded to the 8x56R cartridge, indicated by the 'S' on the barrel
shank. Bolt is a post refurbishment replacement.
Original Bulgarian bolts had a gas vent hole in the top, at the receiver.

This rifle is in good issued condition - Many marks and dings on wood but no cracks
This unit was mad ein the Budapest Factory in 1909

Metal has orginal finish with no bluing evident.

The staright pull bolt runs smoothly - all numbers are matched on wood and metal
parts.

The Mannlicher M1895 (German: Infanterie Repetier-Gewehr M.95) Infantry
Repeating-Rifle M95 is a straight pull bolt-action rifle, designed by Ferdinand Ritter
von Mannlicher that used a refined version of his revolutionary straight-pull action
bolt, much like the Mannlicher M1890 carbine.
It was nicknamed the Ruck-Zuck by Austrian troops (ruck-zuck spoken as
roock-tsoock, in common language meaning back and forth.
The primary producers were the EWG in Steyr, and FEG in Budapest.
