Early Civil War percussion single action revolver chambered for .36 caliber ammunition, 5-shot, modeled after Colt's 1849 Pocket. Series II revolvers were manufactured Jan, 1860-Sept 1861. Features a 6 1/2" octagonal barrel with "Manhattan Firearms Mfg. Co. New York", loading lever, German silver blade front sight, notched rear sight, roll stamped cylinder with floral panels, checkered hammer spur, plated brass grip frame, and once piece varnished walnut grips. Finish has moved to an even medium grey patina. All matching serial numbers, including the wedge, cylinder pin, and cylinder, faint markings. Bore has small areas of pitting, and wood grips are very good with few blemishes. Action is crisp with tight lock-up. Nipples appear very good.
