Manhattan Merry-Go-Round (Republic, 1937). One Sheet (27" X 41"). Phil Regan, Ann Dvorak, Gene Autry, Louis Prima, and Cab Calloway (and his Cotton Club Orchestra), star in this Republic Pictures musical comedy about gangsters who take over a record studio. Joe DiMaggio is grabbed by the bad guys and forced to sing "Have You Ever Been Lonely" in his first film role. Silverfish holes in the background, cross old separations, pencil marks near the border, toning, and foxing. DiMaggio's image appears on the poster, a plus for any Yankees baseball fan.
