Manhattan .36 caliber revolver, 6-1/2” barrel, finely period scroll engraved, traces of original blue and case hardening, varnish deluxe wood grips. Serial #30652. The barrel shows 10-20% evenly thinning and toning blue finish with some very bright blue showing on the bottom side of the barrel and beneath the loading lever. The barrel address is sharp, the cylinder shows 90% original scene. The frame shows traces of case hardening going to grey brown. The backstrap and triggerguard show traces of original silver, the grips show 50-60% varnish, some wear at the edges, and a good burl wood grain. The metal surfaces show some slight erosion and pinprick pitting, normal aging. The pistol is generally very good overall and the engraving is attractive and genuine to the 19th century. From the Bernard Braverman Estate. Est: $1,500 - $3,000
