Manhattan 36 cal Navy revolver with 6-1/2” barrel New York scroll engraved in Nimschke style with a brown patina finish, burl wood grips in partition style case. Serial #17472. The pistol shows well defined engraving andsome scattered light to moderate pitting with a few areas of slightly heavier pitting on the cylinder. The barrel address is good, the cylinder shows about 50% scene, the action is not working. The burl wood gripsare in good condition and show a small repair to the toe, with a light re-varnish but no sanding and excellent fit. The engraving is better than average and nicely executed. The ram rod latch and a couple of screws are old replacements as is the wedge. The revolver is contained within an old period case, shows a partition style lining, the lining is in very good condition with some normal fading, fraying, aging and impressions at contactareas. The case is period and probably agent or dealer supplied. A peacock flask Manhattan marked mold, nipple wrench, cap box and key are included.
