Unlike its larger competitor, The First NB, this institution was precariously capitalized from the outset, and issued a minimal number of notes during its three decade battle for survival, which saw a reported outstanding figure of just $680 by 1935. Just three pieces are known from here, with this carrying the highest listed grade. It has been of the market since our consignor obtained it from a 1993 CAA sale, where it went for the princely sum of $242.
