Fabled German military pilot (1892–1918), known as the ‘Red Baron,’ who shot down 80 enemy planes in World War I before he was killed in action at age 25. Vintage 3.25 x 5.25 German postcard photo, signed in fountain pen. In fine condition, with a few surface marks and silvering to the darker portions. As Richthofen did not survive the war, signed images of him—especially those in full military dress—are highly desirable.
