Malva Severios (1948) ?A Day at the Beach? original oil on panel, contemporary.

Malva Severios, who signs his paintings "Malva," was born in Beirut in 1948. There, he pursued his talent at the University of Fine Arts, finishing his studies in 1972. Malva taught for two years at the University of Fine Arts. He spent his next two years in Syria as the art director of the magazine Al Fursan. Several years later, he returned to his hometown of Beirut in order to teach at the University.
The artist later held numerous one-man shows in Syria and Beirut. Together with a friend, Malva was frequently featured in joint exhibitions throughout Moscow, Budapest, Sofia, and Rome.
Additionally, Malva has been featured in a number of journals, including Alysiad, Almassas, and Alshark in Beirut, Albaeth, Alfursan, and Altalaa in Syria, Alraie in Jordan, and Al Anbas in Israel.
This masterfully painted scene exhibits all the thick paint and bold brushstrokes that define the artist?s unique style. The brightness of the sunlight hitting the sand is contrasted with the coolness of the blue dresses and sky. This is a charming scene that portrays a sense of nostalgia. It is exquisitely framed in a very expensive and highly ornate silver wood frame that adds a richness and elegance to the picture. The entire piece measures 23.5? x 27.25?. This is an excellent picture at an outstanding price making this an exceptional investment. A letter of provenance is provided.
