An impressive Majolica compote is of a large fish with a flowing mustache. The bowl is supported on curled acanthus leaves and a four-footed design of cattails, water lilies and shells. This is marked on the bottom JBD for the designer Julius Dressler, Biela, Bohemia, circa 1900-1945. This is 18 1/2 inches tall, 13 inches long and 6 inches wide. There is very light crazing overall and a few tiny spots of firing imperfections, otherwise it is in good condition. Crating, shipping and insurance is $32.00 within the 48 states.
