Saint Clement was founded in 1798 by Jacques Chambrette, director of the Luneville faience manufacture. In 1892, after changing hands several times, Saint-Clement was acquired by Keller and Guerin, the owners of Luneville. Saint Clement faience is known for its subtle design and coloring. Galle, the famous glass maker and ceramist, worked in Saint Clement and some of its pieces bear his signature. Marked on the underside with the old, white St. Clement initials in relief and the number 7481. In very good used condition.
