Iustrous super fine all pure silk pile and foundation Persian Qum Rug. Made of all natural, vegetable dye, hand woven, pure silk pile on silk foundation. This is a lovely and lustrous fine silk Qum with its stylized central medallion one light milky background. Qum is known as the birthplace of some of the finest silk Rugs of Iran. These fine pieces have not only the finest weave but also display a uniqueness in the broad range of designs and choices of colors. This is best understood and appreciated when one becomes aware of the fact that Qum lies at the edge of the desert, a harsh and barren type of environment. Qum Rugs therefore become the centerpiece and source of charm and pleasure in the household and the living quarters.
