One-of-a-kind investment quality, natural ruby, clean transparent, emerald shape, Burma origin stone. 20.15cts. 15.16 X 11.83 X 8.85 mm. Factors affecting the value of this museum quality stone: Rubies are graded using criteria known as the four Cs, namely color, cut, clarity and carat weight. Rubies are also evaluated on the basis of their geographic origin, with Burma being the best source for transparency. All rubies have inclusions but the fewer, the rarer the stone. This particular stone was magnificently cut, has clarity or transparency that is highly sought after but difficult to find particularly in a stone of this immense size, i.e. a literally huge 20.15 Cts. and the Color is a clean beautiful pink comparable to the rarest of rare "Pink" diamonds that can sell for more than $1 million dollars a carat. Color divides into three components: hue, saturation and tone. Hue refers to color as we normally use the term.
