Featured in this lot is this Magic Lantern and Victor "Featherweight" slides circa 1850 to 1915. There are a total of six total glass slides four for a Magic Lantern and two for Victor "Featherweight." The first slide shows two sailors with kids posing in front of them. The second slide shows a cart pulling a jug of liquid down a cobblestone street. The third is a picture from a boat rowing beneath a bridge. The fourth shows a man drinking a beverage by a table outside of a building with a crowd around him. The fifth slide is titled "An Ideal Lunar Landscape Earth Shine" and shows what it would look like from space to view the Earth from the Moon. The last slide is titled "Donatis Comet of 1858 Tripleg Tacked." The condition of this collection of glass photographic slides is well preserved with with some wear to the outside covering of the slides and some tears to the cardboard covering of the Victor slides. The measurements of these glass slides are 3 1/4" x 4".
