Madansinghji (1947-1948 AD), Gold Jai Hind Mohur and Kori, VS 2004, coat of arms of the state - the Bhuj fortress with Jai Hind (Victory for India) in Devanagari above on rev. (Coins of the Kutch State - Rohit Shah 278.1 & 277.1). Both graded by NGC MS65, Very Rare. (2) These coins are an issue of Independent India, struck in 1948 AD, with the rare salutation Jai Hind on rev. It’s the last issue of the last ruler of Kutch which merged into the Indian Union in 1948. These coins are the only example of an Indian Princely State issuing coins to mark and celebrate India’s Independence.
